Corporate Responsiblity

July 20, 2007

At Keystone we believe in giving back to the community, and have done so through the years by various sponsorships, donations and other means of support.

This year we chose to regroup and choose two charitable organizations to partner with in order to form relationships with those groups and work together for the maximum impact.  We wanted one organization with a local focus and one that was committed to a national cause with local programs.

After much research and discussion we decided to partner with Heritage Academy and the American Cancer Society.  Heritage Academy is a school in downtown Augusta that provides Christ-centered education for children of diverse social, racial and economic backgrounds, with a special emphasis on children of low-income families.  Heritage Academy will be moving into the Houghton School building within the next few weeks.  Keystone has made a five year commitment of $10,000 to provide a full tuition scholarship and contribute to the capital campaign.  Keystone will also participate in the July 28th work day that will begin moving the Academy into its new building.

If you would like to participate in one of the work days the dates are July 28th from 8:30am to noon and August 4th from 8:30 to noon.  There will also be playground build days on August 24th and 25th.

We are excited to be partnering with such an organization that provides education and hope to the children of this area.  For more information on Heritage Academy or how you can get involved visit www.heritgageacademyaugusta.org

The American Cancer Society is an organization with a mission that Keystone relates closely to as both a company and as individuals.  Their mission of cancer research, advocacy, education, and treatment resonate strongly with our staff as we are all aware or close to someone who is or has battled cancer.  We are looking forward to working with the local chapter of the American Cancer Society through donations, sponsorships and volunteerism.
